Environmental Action Week 2025

Celebrate Earth Week with the ASUCD Environmental Policy and Planning Commission (EPPC)! This is a weeklong event series from April 21st to April 25th highlighting environmental action and justice.
How does Environmental Action Week Work?
When you attend an Environmental Action Week Event, stop by the ASUCD EPPC table (it's green!) for a stamp card. Attending each event will earn you a stamp. See the stamp breakdown at the bottom of this page!
Those with the most stamps will be entered into a raffle for:
- Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones
- $100 Downtown Davis giftcards (work at any location Downtown)
- $15 CoHo giftcards
Environmental Action Week Agenda
Monday (April 21)
- MU East Quad, 11am - 2pm: Food Security and Agricultural Justice tabling, resources and activities
- Young Hall 194, 6:30pm - 8pm: Food Justice Speaker Elizabeth McQueen and Corn-based food tasting. Register Here.
Tuesday (April 22)
- MU Quad, 11am - 2pm: Water and Energy tabling, activities, and smoothie bike!
- Young Hall 194, 6:30pm - 8pm: Cultural burning talk with Wintun/Maidu Cultural Practitioner Diana Almendariz
Wednesday (April 23)
- [Location TBD], 6:30pm - 8pm: Sustainable Collaging and Poetry night with SSCF and Aggie Open Mics
Thursday (April 24)
- Look out for interactive boards around the MU and Silo during the day focused on environmental activism!
- [Location TBD], 6:30pm - 8pm: Climate and Labor talk with Labor for Sustainability and Campus Climate Network
Friday (April 25)
- MU West Quad, 11am - 2pm: Sustainable Fashion and Clothing Swap! Join for a clothing swap and sustainable fashion activities and workshops.
How to Earn Points
Show up to each event and find the EPPC table to collect your participation stamp! Below is a specific point breakdown:
- Monday
- 1 STAMP: Bring 5 non-perishable food items to donate.
1 STAMP: Attend Food Justice Speaker event from 6:30-8PM in Young Hall 194 - Tuesday
- 1 STAMP: Visit the EPPC table at the MU Quad to make your own water filtration device (bring your own water bottle!)
1 STAMP: Attend Cultural Burning speaker event from 6:30-8PM in Young Hall 194 - Wednesday
- 1 STAMP: Attend sustainable poetry and collage event at 6pm
- Thursday
- 1 STAMP: Attend Labor and Climate speaker event from 6:30-8PM in [Location TBD]
- All Week
- 1 STAMP: Visit the EPPC Table at all these events to tell us an energy saving action you did!
1 STAMP: Visit the EPPC Table at all these events to donate 5 items for the clothing swap before Friday!
