The Sustainability Handbook will be distributed to all ASUCD Unit Directors, committees, and employees, and aims to educate on how to operate more sustainably. Areas of focus within the handbook include water conservation, waste reduction, energy conservation, sustainable purchasing, and hosting zero waste events. The handbook is aimed to improve performance in areas that are measured by the ASUCD Sustainability Audit.
Some of the information in the Sustainability Handbook comes from the newly rewritten Chapter 17 ASUCD Bylaws (Guidelines for Environmental Sustainability). These bylaws mandate the ASUCD Sustainability Audit.
