Background
UC Davis became a Fair Trade Designated University in Spring 2020. This designation requires that all campus vendors stock two fair trade items. UC Davis was the fifth UC campus out of nine undergraduate UCs to become Fair Trade Designated, meaning the majority of the UCs are now designated.
Goals
The Fair Trade Policy team is working to change UC-wide policy to encourage all UC campuses to become Fair Trade Designated and maintain this designation by holding educational events and ensuring vendors are continuing to stock the required amount of Fair Trade items. This will be achieved by working with UC-level working groups and other UC Fair Trade campaigns.
