The Fair Trade Committee (FTC) upholds UC Davis' status as a Fair Trade University by supporting the inclusion of Fair Trade products into campus facilities and dining services, which endorses an environmentally sustainable and ethical trade system.
By providing information and educational events on Fair Trade and its related topics, the FTC hopes to empower UCD students to participate in Fair Trade. We plan for our events to range from a Fair Trade product scavenger hunt to a fashion show highlighting Fair Trade textiles.
Additionally, the FTC will be collaborating with other UC Fair Trade campaigns to work on having all UC campuses become Fair Trade Universities, which would lead the UC system to become the first Fair Trade University System in the world!
