This increases overall emissions, as more trips have to be made to specific places in a short amount of time. If you are able to, choose a slower delivery option at checkout!

The carbon footprint of an item traveling from a warehouse to you, then back to the warehouse, and then out to another customer is a lot more than it needs to be! There are many companies that allow customers to request that their items come without a ton of excess packaging. If you can, send a comment with your order requesting low-waste packaging. - You can contact customer service, or provide feedback to the retailer about their packaging after your item has shipped. There are some companies that prioritize sustainability in their business model. Companies such as Package Free Shop and Weighstead offer environmentally-friendly alternatives to everyday products that are shipped in completely compostable or recyclable packaging.
