Annapurna Siva, She/her/hers

  • Second Year Environmental Science and Management Major
Annapurna is a sophomore at UC Davis and joined EPPC due to her interest in the intersections between environmental science and policy. Outside EPPC, she enjoys drowning herself in cat videos and cooking.

Ben Wynd, He/him/his

  • Fourth year Sustainable Environmental Design and Political Science Double Major
Ben joined EPPC because of his interest in how transportation and housing policy intersects with environmental sustainability. In the future he hopes to work on developing and advocating for legislation that makes cities less car dependent and more environmentally friendly, especially in California. In his free time Ben likes watching reality TV, going to the gym, and keeping up with international politics.

Kelly Abey - Chair '23-'24, She/her/hers

  • Fourth Year Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning & Sustainable Environmental Design Double Major
Kelly is from San Rafael, CA. She has been on EPPC for three years and loves how it gets her more involved in the Davis campus and community environmental efforts. She is interested in city and regional planning and landscape architecture. Kelly is also on the UC Davis Club Triathlon Team. 

Kaitlyn Kwan, She/her/hers

  • Second Year Environmental Science and Management Major
Kaitlyn is a second-year ESM major with an interest in pursuing the Sustainability in the Built Environment minor. She joined EPPC because she loves nature and wants to help promote environmental sustainability within the UC Davis community. Kaitlyn is passionate about environmental education as well as sustainable transportation and city planning. In her free time, Kaitlyn is dancing, rock climbing, and exploring new places with friends.

Lydia Rice, She/her/hers

  • Fourth Year Political Science Major, Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning Minor
Lydia is returning for her second year on the Commission and she is excited to continue working on environmental legislation to benefit our campus. After graduating, she hopes to work in state or local government as a policy analyst.

Daphne Crother - Vice Chair, She/her/hers

  • Fourth Year Political Science Major and History Minor
Daphne joined EPPC three years ago as she is interested in environmental policy and plans on incorporating more sustainability and environmentally friendly legislation into ASUCD. She has worked on the social media project, sustainability audit, and currently leads the Pouring Rights Campaign (PRC) against PepsiCo project. In her future, she will attend law school and specialize in environmental law. In her free time, she likes to go on hikes, sew, and visit national park.

Mateo Alliende, He/him/his

  • Fourth Year Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning Major, International Agricultural Development Minor
Mateo joined EPPC because he wanted to be a part of the student government and its efforts towards a more sustainable UC Davis. He is pursuing a future in environmental policy, focusing specifically on conservation management on an international scale. If Mateo could, he would always be in the mountains where he can climb rocks, go backpacking, and shred the ski slopes.

Mina Bedogne, She/her/hers

  • Fourth Year Environmental Science and Management Major
Mina joined EPPC to explore the intersection of environmental science and policy and promote sustainable practices on campus. A proponent of all things outdoors, she also interns as a waterway steward at the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden and a shepherd for the UC Davis Sheepmowers. When she’s not in waders or participating in restoration projects, you’ll find her attempting to be a good student at the library’s standing desks, reading and listening to podcasts at Lake Spafford, or wandering around downtown and campus (just for the fun of it).

Mackenzie Field - Chair '22-'23, She/her/hers

  • Fourth Year Environmental Science and Management Major, Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning Minor
Mackenzie is a fourth-year from Irvine majoring in Environmental Science and Management and minoring in Environmental Policy and Planning. She joined EPPC because she wanted to work alongside other environmental advocates at UC Davis and is interested in pursuing a career in environmental conservation and restoration. In her free time, she bird-watches, cooks various soups, and enjoys the outdoors.

Leo Hecht, He/him/his

  • Second Year Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning Major, GIS Minor
Leo joined EPPC to become more involved in campus sustainability and to help enact positive changes to ensure environmental issues that affect students most at Davis are being addressed. He currently interns at the UC Davis student farm and is planning on pursuing a career in agricultural and environmental policy. In his free time, he enjoys painting and playing music.
